Distributed Policy Mechanism

ISA Sentinel™ offers the latest in Distributed Firewall Technology. ISA Sentinel™, either in dedicated configurations or in the ISA Duo secure NT/2000 clustering bundle can be installed either as a host base firewall or a router firewall. Set up as host based firewall on different machines, ISA Sentinel™ will have the ability to form a firewall array where administrator can create a set of polices on one node and automatically distribute the same policies among all of members in the array. This robust mechanism saves time and offers a virtually maintenance free system.

Smart Policy Checking

ISA Sentinel™ is equipped with the SPC function, it will help you determine the validity of certain policies. Setup as a router firewall, ISA Sentinel™ will assist you in distributing policy settings that are host specifc to your local host based ISA Sentinel™ in your network. This checking scheme will minimize the usage of package checking on the router and maximize the security on the specifc hosts. SPC's sophiticated sorting method eliminates your headache and offers a worry free streamline process.

Remote Configuration

ISA Sentinel™ offers the flexability of configuring your system from a remote location. Gives you the opportunity to perform the dreadful task of configuring at your desired location. ISA Sentinel™ will save you time and money with this feature. This added feature not only provide convenince, yet offers a dynamic application process to simplfy your system's anatomy.

Intruder Detection System (IDS)

ISA Sentinel™ provides an IDS that will offer the most basic to the most sophisticated protection available. An intruder detection system with preset list of known harmful elements such as Land Attack, Ping of Death, WinNuke, Teardrop, SYN Flood, Smurf, TCP Port Scan, UDP Port Scan, SNMP Crack, etc. The need to define your own intruders is eliminated by useing ISA Sentinel™.

Port Scanner

An utility that provide accountability of which port is currently opened on your system. This utility will allow you to always keep track of your port management. Ideal for those individuals who do not have an engineering background to use. A visualization otherwise missing in traditional firewall utilities.

Log monitoring

Three different Monitor Logs exist in ISA Sentinel™

1. Monitoring Log- This logs the packages going in and/or out of your network. It provide a check point for all traffic either entering or exiting your network. This offers added security and value for the ISA Sentinel™!!

2. IDS Log- Provides end users a complete list of possible known offenders who have tried to access your system. This log will give a detail list of history that may be useful in configuring future policies.

3. Policy Log- Documents all actions that coincide with policy regulation. An unique way of keeping track of which action concurred with your policy. This allows you to monitor all actions for better control of your network.
