ISA Duo Network Load Balancing FeatureLoad Balancing allows two computers running Windows NT or Windows 2000 Server to share TCP/UDP traffic loads. By combining the resources of two computers into a single cluster network, ISA Duo's load balancing feature can keep up with the demand and performance of the server. The main purpose of the load balance feature is to lessen the load off one server to another, and increase speed and performance when users are in high demand to connect to the database. Load balance well greatly reduce degradation in performance and ensure your servers to be highly available at all time. Just easily configure your master server and run! How the ISA Duo load balancing feature further functions is by distributing incoming client requests to the primary server in the form of TCP or UDP traffic to the secondary server, according to the load percentage configured. The load percentage can be configured by choosing one of the three settings. All the configurations are done on the primary server. When the client sends a request, ISA Duo software will determine the load and send it to the approriate server. Though there are two different IP addresses, the clients will always see the master one only. You can define up to eight services such as Ftp, http, telnet, Omni Nfs Server software, etc. that are the same on both servers for your load balancing needs. Diagram of Load Balance Feature
