� Load the CD into your CD-ROM drive

� Open the klbsetup.exe file

� At the Welcome screen, click on Next until you reach the License page

� Respond Yes to the License Agreement if you agree to the terms

� Enter your Name, Company Name, and serial number at the User Information screen. If you do not have a serial number, please contact your sales representative or enter 11111-11111 for an Evaluation License of LittleBrother. Then select Next

� You will next be prompted for the type of installation. Select Standalone then Next

� Next you are prompted for the directory to install LittleBrother to. By default, it goes to c:\kansmen\LB. You may change the directory to fit your needs or accept the default directory. Then select Next

� You are given the option of choosing the reporting database. You will want to choose the Proprietary Database. Click on Next

� Select the Network Interface Card (NIC) that you wish to monitor. Then select Next

� Next you are prompted to select your network type: Ethernet or Token Ring. Select your network type then click on Next

� You asked if you want to monitor local traffic. Do not enable this feature as it may slow down the computer and the LittleBrother program. Select Next.

� You are now asked if you want to monitor IPX and AppleTalk traffic. Do not enable this feature as it may slow down the computer and the LittleBrother program. Select Next.

� You are now asked if you want to enable DNS Queries. You want to enable this option. Then select the Next option.

� You now have the option of enabling WWW reporting. If you select this, a program called Apache Web Service will load with LittleBrother. It will allow you to connect via your Web Browser to the machine that LittleBrother is on and run reports. If you do not wish to enable this option at this time, uncheck the button. This option can be enabled after the installation if so desired. After making your selection, choose the Next option.

� The next option is now asking if you want to run LittleBrother at start-up. If you do not want to, make sure the option is unchecked. However, note that LittleBrother will not monitor or block traffic if it is not running. After making your selection, choose the Next option.

� If you know the license size of your network, enter it into the field asking for the number of nodes. If you do not know the size, leave the value at 0 then select Next.

� You are next prompted to select the database. LittleBrother recommends the Large Database which holds over 900,000 rated Internet sites. After making the selection, choose the Next option.

� You are now prompted to reboot your computer. This will complete the installation process.
