What is GLP?

The Computer Associates International, Inc. (CA) Government License Program. (GLP) is a software license program that offers substantial discounts on our acclaimed BrightStor™ ARCserve® line of storage solutions, the eTrust™ Defense Solution Set and our powerful Unicenter® Remote Control (formerly known as ControlIT™) solution.

Designed for government agencies, academic institutions and non-profit organizations, GLP reduces the cost of evaluating, acquiring, maintaining, upgrading and managing CA software.

GLP License Number For Fast Service.

You will receive a GLP License Certificate and a unique GLP License Number that will facilitate your purchasing and inquiries. Use it anytime you want to reorder, track an existing order or confirm a purchase.

Master License File (MLF) Option.

GLP members have the option to receive an electronic Master License File. This allows GLP Members to install products without key codes, eliminating the need to license software multiple times. You'll have the freedom to install CA's innovative solutions on as many agreed-upon machines as you like, in any location in your organization.

You must purchase at least 2,000 points worth of solutions and services to receive the MLF Option.

Less Paperwork.

GLP is a simple transaction program that minimizes paperwork. There are no complicated levels, minimums or guesswork.

Easy Installation.

The GLP "License Certificate" enables you to install the software from a single CD onto multiple servers and desktops, eliminating the need to buy a quantity of boxed products.

Single License Key for Multiple Installations.

Whether you buy one or 100 units of CA software through GLP, you can install your solution using the same license key, saving you the hassle associated with managing multiple keys. Your license key authorizes you to install the exact number of software copies you purchased.

Simplified Product Registration.

You no longer have to register your software with CA online as part of the installation process. Just follow the simple instructions included with your Licensing Kit to license and activate your software.

Education And Training.*

A comprehensive suite of education services is offered for Workgroup and Advanced Edition products through the purchase of Training Credit Units (TCU).

CA Choice Support.*

CA's Choice Support Program is a telephone support program that delivers speedy, focused technical help to CA's licensing customers. It offers customers a variety of simple and flexible support packages, at a special price available only to Licensing customers. You pick the level of support you need, and CA's certified engineers and authorized partners will be on call to offer you world-class assistance.

Software Investment Protection.

Upgrade Protection gives you the right to upgrade your software to the most current version, and keeps it current for two years from your program entry date.
